Recently, Mr. Lu Weibing, Vice President of Xiaomi Group and CEO of Brand Redmi released the first information about the Redmi K40 Pro. This will be a smartphone equipped with many high-end features but with a reasonable price.
Similar to last year’s K30 Pro, the Redmi K40 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s new and most powerful Snapdragon 888 chip. This is the chip used by Xiaomi on the Mi 11 that this company has just launched, as well as many upcoming flagships such as Samsung Galaxy S21 or Oppo Find X3 Pro.
And yet, Redmi K40 Pro also owns two other attractive hardware parameters, that is “the most expensive flat screen” and “battery capacity over 4000mAh”. The battery specifications are relatively easy to understand, but we still do not fully understand whether the “most expensive flat screen” that Mr. Lu Weibing mentioned will be. Does it use IPS or AMOLED technology, 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rate? Maybe we will have to continue waiting for the time to come.
Fortunately, there is an important specification of the Redmi K40 Pro that has been specifically confirmed by this official, which is the selling price: Redmi K40 Pro will have a starting price of 2999 yuan, equivalent to 10.6 million. Thus, it is possible that Redmi K40 Pro will become one of the cheapest smartphones in the world with the Snapdragon 888 chip.
Besides the Redmi K40 Pro, Xiaomi is also expected to launch the standard Redmi K40 with a mid-range Snapdragon chip, of course with a cheaper price. Both models will be officially launched by Xiaomi in February.
