Xiaomi Civi 2 launched: Dual selfie camera “Dynamic Island”, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, priced from 7.9 million VND

After a short time of “teasing” for the new smartphone, today (September 27), Xiaomi officially introduced the Xiaomi Civi 2, a smartphone designed for young users with design advantages, hardware and cameras. Xiaomi Civi 2 is the successor version of Civi 1 and 1S launched a long time ago.

In terms of design, the Xiaomi Civi 2 has a youthful appearance with a glass back with a plastic frame. The device has 4 color options including black, blue, pink and a Hello Kitty white version with a unique wavy pattern on the back.

On the front, Xiaomi equips Civi 2 with 6.55-inch OLED screen, FHD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Notably, this is the world’s first Android smartphone equipped with a “pill”-shaped dual selfie camera cluster, but placed in the middle of the top edge of the screen, quite similar to the iPhone 14 Pro. However, it is not clear if Xiaomi has implemented software to take advantage of this area to display notifications like how Dynamic Island works on iPhones.

According to the announcement, the dual selfie camera cluster has a 32MP resolution, including a standard lens that supports autofocus (AF) and a 100-degree super-wide-angle lens. In addition, the camera also supports many different beauty modes, a typical feature of the Civi series, and has a built-in LED flash to support shooting in low light conditions.

On the back, Xiaomi Civi is equipped with a 3-lens camera system including 50MP wide angle using IMX766 sensor, 20MP ultra wide angle using IMX376K sensor and 2MP macro camera. The design of the camera cluster is quite similar to the Redmi K50 Ultra and Xiaomi 12S.

In terms of performance, Xiaomi Civi 2 is one of the rare smartphones equipped with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, preceded by the Chinese version of OPPO Reno8 Pro. The device has 8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage memory. The battery has a capacity of 4500mAh, supports 67W fast charging (with included charger).

Xiaomi Civi 2 has a starting price in the Chinese market of 2399 yuan, equivalent to 7.9 million.
