Will the Galaxy Fold 2 have a main screen up to 7.7 inches when opened and a minimum of 6.23 inches when folded?

The upcoming Galaxy Fold 2 is considered to be one of the most awaiting smartphones in 2020. This is also the third folding screen smartphone of Samsung promising to be sold on the market.

Information about the Galaxy Fold 2 has been around for months, but now Korean media has revealed the screen size of the device. Specifically, Galaxy Fold 2 will be slightly larger in size than its predecessor.
According to ETNews , the external screen of the Galaxy Fold 2 will be larger than 1.63 inches and the internal OLED screen will be about 0.4 inches larger. That means, Galaxy Fold 2 will have a large 7.7-inch screen and an external screen of 6.23 inches.
Recent rumors have revealed that the Galaxy Fold 2 will not have an S Pen due to technical limitations. However, Samsung will likely increase the screen’s scan frequency to 120Hz like the Galaxy S20 series. The Galaxy Fold predecessor only has a traditional 60Hz refresh rate.

Another improvement of the Galaxy Fold 2 is that Samsung uses UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) glass instead of Colorless Polymide (CPI). This type of glass is currently used on Galaxy Z Flip.
Recent rumors have revealed that Samsung started production of the Galaxy Fold 2 after ordering components last month. According to analysts, Samsung is expected to ship about 3 million new Galaxy Fold 2 each year but the first batch is expected to be only about 300,000 units.
It is rumored that Samsung will launch Galaxy Fold 2 at the same event as the Galaxy Note 20 launch on August 5. Machine may be sold after one month of launch.
