1. America

Currently, the US occupies the No. 1 position, far ahead of other countries in science by a huge gap.
The leading research institutions are Harvard University, Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Top US corporations involved in R&D include Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon and Meta.
