On April 24, 1990, the Discovery space shuttle was launched from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, carrying one of the world’s largest space telescopes ever launched into space: Hubble. The mission was successful, and Hubble is still running smoothly to this day.
Hubble has a mission to explore the universe 24/7, without a break. In other words, it has been observing the phenomenal phenomena in the universe in all that time, and of course, on your birthday too.
Recently, NASA has created an algorithm that allows you to see what Hubble has observed on each specific day of the year. For those whose birthdays are right on the occasion of the world’s social isolation, this must be a very special way to celebrate their birthdays.
