Visual Design: the future of UX

We used to live in a technology age, when customers always got new features in attractive technology products. On top of that, just getting the job done quickly with these products is already very satisfying. And so far, it seems everyone agrees that UX (user experience) is becoming the center of the stage, and technology is pushed down to the supporting role, and will gradually be invisible. However, to maintain a good UX, simply "hiding" the technology is not enough. Instead, you have to do smarter and more complex technology!

Today, the element once considered "to be beautiful" has become an indispensable requirement. This is even more true for digital products. So, what's next? Just like the title, an era of Visual Design Experience is coming! One era that users want to really be satisfied in terms of sight, and increasingly expect UX.

“In the following years, we will see very colorful designs, with crazy mobile UI”

iOS7 is a very typical example. The Apple designer used these super-saturated colors, making iOS6 look very old and … unpleasant. Soon after, they added many new conversions. And we have iOS7, with a completely new look. Even Parallax gimikification features complete the buzz marketing task. Apple even sacrificed a little bit of availability to make sure these changes appeared in the version.

This trend is becoming clearer when you see big motion graphic companies like Territory Studio and Perception , jumping into the UX design field for software. Perception's design room is collaborating with the planet's largest software and technology companies (Intel, Microsoft, Samsung, etc.) to research new UX generations for mobile and desktop platforms.

The Mill , an end-to-end visual effects studio, has great talents and skills that can create great experiences. And now expanding the scope to the digital field.

We also have an example, Education. Digital Tutors, a group of high quality video content creators since 2004 for many artists and designers in animation, movies and games; has now switched to making videos for the web / mobile designer.

Moreover, the animation industry is facing many difficulties, from which many talented artists lost their jobs. They are forced to move to other fields, and Visual Design / UX is a big part of it.

The field of UX developed from experts on usability, graphic design, programmers, … has added the contribution of animators, visual effects, and game artists.

"Just creating a smooth interface for users is not enough, descriptions have to put in the right tools, the right scene, and the right time."

Return to Apple. If you look at the design of the AppleWatch, you'll see a lot of colorful colors, with a saturation value of more than 70 and a brightness of 90 in most UI components. Motion design is also utilized to motivate users.

If you go to dribble.com, check out, dynamic UI design is the most popular. Saijo George has a list of "legendary" input fields, and most of them are motion graphics: https://medium.com/@saijogeorge/creative-form-input-field-design-examples-bfe5dd50808a .
