In the past week, two major carriers in Vietnam, VinaPhone and Viettel, officially broadcast their 5G network tests. Among the 5G testing support devices launched by these two carriers, one can see products from brands such as Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo or Nokia … but there are no brands in water, especially Vsmart.
This is the reason because in early July, Vsmart cooperated with Viettel to hold a 5G network technology demonstration event with the appearance of a 5G support terminal from Vsmart, which is the Aris 5G. . A few months later, Vsmart released the Aris and Aris Pro, especially the Aris Pro with a very impressive camera hidden under the screen. However, both models lack 5G network technology as the first “tease”.
Recently, at an event for the press, VinSmart officially confirmed the production of 5G smartphones. Unfortunately, the first market to experience this product line will not be Vietnam, but instead will be the US.
The Vsmart Aris model with 5G support was displayed by VinSmart at an event in July
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, General Director of VinSmart’s Phone Division shared at the event: “We are currently in the process of commercializing 5G phones. The first market we will launch 5G products is the US, because The US covers 5G before Vietnam. Vsmart will have 5G products for sale in Vietnam when Vietnam has 5G coverage. “
Not only 5G smartphones, in 2021, VinSmart will also bring to the US market many other product lines in all segments. In addition to low-cost or mid-range models, models with leading technology such as Vsmart Aris Pro with cameras hidden under the screen will also be introduced by VinSmart in this market that is considered very difficult.
“When entering the US market, we will bring products that meet the requirements of US consumers. Specifically, the Aris and Aris Pro product lines will be sold by us in the US. Through the survey, we see that A segment of American consumers is looking forward to and embracing a product line with a camera hidden under the screen.
Previously, searching on the website of the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), it was found the appearance of a model called V340U, which Vsmart cooperated with the largest carrier in the US, AT&T. Cooperation with carriers is considered a must for smartphone manufacturers to “survive” in the US, because in this market, users mainly buy phones through carriers.
