VinFast Manufacturing and Trading Company Limited and Gotion High-Tech Co., Ltd. (China) – one of the world’s leading names in the field of clean energy – signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The focus of the agreement is the project to supply LFP batteries and study the plan to build the first Giga Factory to produce LFP cells in Vietnam.
Under the agreement, VinFast and Gotion High-Tech will jointly conduct research, development and production of LFP batteries.

LFP batteries are currently the most popular battery technology in the global electric vehicle market, with outstanding points in safety, long life, no use of rare materials, limited supply, or limited exploitation. Unsatisfactory conditions in terms of labor safety, causing environmental impacts such as Cobalt, Manganese, etc. In particular, LFP batteries have a competitive cost, which helps to reduce product costs and is suitable for automobile models. small-medium sized electricity.
Gotion High-Tech is a leading Chinese and international battery manufacturer of LFP batteries for commercial electric vehicles, energy storage stations and other applications. This is also a unit with many years of experience in research, development and production, owning thousands of patents and licensed technology applications. Currently, Gotion High-Tech has set up 8 R&D centers in China, USA, Japan, Singapore, Germany and India…

VinFast and Gotion signed a cooperation agreement
On the side of VinFast, the research and construction of an LFP battery factory in Vietnam is one of the efforts to establish a clean energy ecosystem, contributing to the localization of supply. Ms. Thai Thi Thanh Hai – Vice Chairman of Vingroup shared: “Cooperating with Gotion High-Tech – the world’s leading prestigious battery manufacturer is one of VinFast’s important action plans in developing electric cars.
