Viettel’s exclusive protected invention proposes a method of random data division in multi-processor distributed systems, which helps disperse data randomly and evenly to each microprocessor in each node (node) network, thereby increasing processing performance and reducing time when changing system configuration.

This invention has been successfully applied by Viettel to build a real-time billing system – vOCS. The invention has solved the problem of allocating and storing data in the vOCS system, which increases information processing speed by 5 times while still meeting the very high demand for subscriber capacity with hundreds of millions of customers. and the number of simultaneous transactions amounted to hundreds of thousands.

The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted exclusive patents to Viettel with the invention “The method of random data division in multi-processor distributed systems”.

The distributed data structure of the vOCS system also allows simultaneous backup (backup) of data on multiple network nodes and clusters to ensure the stability and reliability of the system. This has been proved in practice by the fact that it has never made any mistake related to Viettel’s billing system for over 170 million subscribers of telecom operators in 11 countries, since the system’s operation. vOCS from March 2017 to the present.

This application has made vOCS allow telecom operators the ability to offer each customer a package with a much shorter Time-To-Market time than systems with the same functionality. and easy and economical system scalability without affecting the services being provided.

The author of this invention is 4 Vietnamese engineers, of which 3 are trained in the country, have worked at Viettel for 2-6 years.

Sharing the reasons for registering exclusive patents, Mr. Nguyen Vu Ha, General Director of Viettel High Technology Industry Corporation shared: “Starting from 2010, Viettel has had a concentrated research process. researching core technologies and technologies to shape product lines and initially test and make products with practical equipment for domestic units. Since 2017, Viettel has standardized the process system according to international standards and initially brought products to the world market.

The author of this invention is 4 Vietnamese engineers, of which 3 are trained in the country, have worked at Viettel for 2-6 years.

Viettel’s invention, bearing 10,417,064 B2, granted by USPTO, is exclusively protected in the US until December 20, 2037.

vOCS is an important milestone in Viettel’s career in researching and manufacturing telecommunication equipment, making Vietnam one of the few largest OCS producing countries in the world. This product is like the “operator’s heart” because it contains all the data about customers, products, services, business policies … of the network.

Viettel’s vOCS was honored in the category “Most Innovative IT Services” at the IT World Awards 2017 and the gold award in the category “Best Product or Service of the Year” at the International Business Awards ( IBA) 2018.
