Viettel is the first operator to support 5G on eSIM for iPhone 12

Previously, the iPhone 12 could not use 5G when using 2 SIMs (physical SIM and eSIM), but now this error has been completely fixed on Viettel network.

In a recent move, Apple said it will soon open a commercial version on iPhone for 5G Viettel network, officially updating users.

Thus, Viettel’s customers will become the first users in Vietnam to use official 5G on iPhone devices (including iPhone 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max).

Up to this point, Viettel is also the only carrier to complete all the 5G tests for iOS 14.5 beta from January 1/2021. IPhone users are able to use Viettel 5G network provided that the IOS 14.5 Beta version is provided by Apple and is on the list selected at random by the carrier.

It is known that the test results in Thu Duc city, 5G Viettel network has a stable data download speed of over 1Gbps. In Hanoi, Viettel 5G network has a stable speed equivalent to 900Mbps.

Besides the iPhone, currently Viettel customers can use 5G on the following models: Samsung: Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 2; Oppo: Find X2 and Find X2 Pro; Xiaomi: Mi 10T Pro and Poco F2 pro; Realme: X50 pro 5G; ZTE: Axon 10 pro; Huawei: P40 and P40 pro 5G; Nokia: 8.3 5G. And most recently, Samsung Galaxy S21, Oppo Reno 5G and Xiaomi Mi 11 also support 5G Viettel.

To date, Viettel 5G network has been present in 6 provinces including Hanoi, Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Phuoc, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh. Customers using 5G-enabled phones in these provinces can experience 5G Viettel service immediately without having to upgrade the SIM.

During the trial, Viettel offers free 5G data with unlimited capacity to help customers comfortably experience the connectivity of 5th generation dynamic technology.
