Before the launch date of genuine iPhone 14 Series in Vietnam, many agents such as CellPhoneS, Mobile Viet, Shop Dunk announced that they would apply a policy requiring iPhone 14 buyers to peel off the seal and activate the device at the store.

Nguyen Lac Huy, a representative of CellphoneS, said that the number of genuine devices distributed to users in the first phase has not changed much compared to 2021, while the demand for iPhone 14 is expected to grow by 50-100% depending on the version. .

“This will certainly lead to the situation of buying goods and pushing up the resale price. This policy is to limit speculation and buy machines in large quantities to resell for profit,” said Mr. Huy.

To ensure that the product reaches the end user directly at the best price, CellphoneS will receive orders from October 7-13 and return the goods on October 14. Each customer can only order up to 2 products and all iPhone 14 sold in the first batch will be activated by CellphoneS staff at the store – this representative said.

A representative of Viet Mobile confirmed that the iPhone 14 series will be activated at the store.

“This regulation is to ensure that the product reaches all final customers without going through intermediaries, avoiding the case of buying machines for speculation. For example, the 128 GB black and yellow versions on the portable market have dropped to VND 33.5 million. The purple version is priced at VND 36 million. The portable iPhone 14 Pro from the US and Singapore is now under VND 30 million, lower than the expected price of genuine goods in Vietnam. This is also the first year, American portable iPhones are sold cheaper than other markets.
