Vietnam Web Summit 2016 provides overview of web development in Vietnam

Vietnam Web Summit 2016, the biggest annual event on web development in Vietnam, is going to provide an overview of web development in Vietnam as well as introduce to the web development community new technologies.

The event, held in three big cities of Vietnam namely Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang, will include speeches by a total of 80 speakers on 40 topics from development to digital marketing.

Highlights include speeches on government policies for e-commerce machine learning, platform building, moving from PHP5.6 to PHP7, growth hacking, and optimising conversion rates in ecommerce.

Hundreds of startups are displaying their products for free at the event, meet angel investors and representatives of funds as well as recruit.

Held by IT human resources recruitment platform Applancer and the Vietnam E-commerce Association, the event expects to greet 7,000 participants including developers and marketers as well as other interested parties.

After being held in Ho Chi Minh City last Saturday October 22, the event is going to be held in Hanoi and Danang on October 29 and November 5 respectively.

Data collected by Applancer shows that Vietnam currently has about 250,000 developers, the 23rd highest number among countries in the world.

Of the number, 156,000 are located in Ho Chi Minh City, 70,000 in Hanoi. One in every eight developers is a mobile developer. Web developers have lower average salary than mobile developers.
