Using Google Maps, the man accidentally discovered the missing body 22 years ago

Recently, a resident of Grand Isles, Wellington, Florida (United States), discovered something unusual while watching satellite images of the Lantana area on Google Map.

When he enlarged the image, the man discovered that the object looked like a car sinking near the edge of a lake. He immediately contacted Barry Fay, a landlord currently living near the lake. Mr. Barry then used the drone to conduct a more detailed image verification. As a result, it was actually a white car sinking near the edge of the pond located behind his house.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office was notified and the rescue came after that. When the car was picked up, police found it inside a human skeleton. Turning the file, the police confirmed it was the remains of Williams Moldt, a man who went missing 22 years ago (in 1997) in his 40s.

Information from the search agency for the missing said that in November 1997, Moldt went to a nightclub but showed no signs of being drunk when leaving. He phoned his girlfriend and announced he would be home soon with her in Lantana. However, Moldt went missing shortly after that time.

A search has been made but the situation is increasingly pessimistic. It was not until August this year that a discovery from Google Earth helped police break the deadlock case.

Currently, Moldt’s death is being estimated by accident. Barry Fay, who has a house next to the lake, said:
