Recently, the Computer Emergency Response Center of India (CERT-In) has issued a warning to users of old iPhone lines.
“A reported vulnerability in iOS could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the targeted system,” CERT-In’s warning reads.

What should users do?

According to AppleInsider, users of old devices need to quickly update to iOS 12.5.7 and iOS 15.7.3 to ensure device safety. A similar WebKit vulnerability has been patched on iOS 16.3 and macOS Ventura 13.2, for newer products.
Apple is known for long-lasting software updates for their devices. However, updating the iPhone 5s, a phone that has been around for almost 10 years, is unthinkable.
