“Months went by and there was no contact,” he said angrily. He said there is no Starlink customer service contact number on SpaceX’s website. After 10 months of waiting to use the internet, he requested a refund of the deposit.

“I think Elon is a very smart person and wish him the best, but I think his Starlink customer service is non-existent,” Pace said.

Insiders chatted with more than ten people who had been waiting nearly 12 months for Starlink’s internet service. However, they have received no updates from Elon Musk’s company as to when Starlink will be available in their region and don’t even know if the connectivity kit has been shipped yet.

Jason Kirkpatrick, of Michigan, told Insider he paid a $100 deposit to use Starlink in March but decided to ask for a refund in December because there was no contact from SpaceX.

Kirkpatrick said that when he logged into his Starlink account, it said his money was refunded. However, he said he never received the money, adding that SpaceX could not be reached to notify them of the issue.

He said he felt ” cheated “. Kirkpatrick added: “I don’t know how a company can take money from a customer and not provide a service.”

Another Starlink customer, Scott Alexander, says he’s been waiting for the Starlink kit for almost a year but hasn’t arrived yet.

SpaceX sent an email to customers who ordered Starlink last year, apologizing for delivery delays and saying that chip shortages had slowed down production of terminals for users, and that the company also affected by the pandemic.

Keith Bosse, who paid a deposit to Starlink on February 25, said that his order has been rescheduled, from mid to late 2021 to the first quarter of 2022.

“If they can go to space can they at least send me an email update?” Bosse said.
