Recently, some systems such as CellphoneS and Hoang Ha Mobile said that they will apply a new form to customers who buy iPhone 13. Specifically, when customers buy the device, they will have to open the box and activate it at the store.

“The reason for this policy is to limit the purchase and resale. This year, the initial stage of genuine goods returning to the country will be limited, so it is easy to re-sell. The request to the buyer to activate the device immediately will partly help customers buy genuine iPhone 13 at the right price”, said Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, representative of CellphoneS system communication system.

Customers must open the iPhone 13 box at some stores when buying the device.

According to Ms. Hoang Minh Tam, communications representative of Hoang Ha Mobile system, this is also a way to ensure that customers can exchange new devices immediately if the product is faulty. Due to the limited quantity of goods in the first time, if the customer comes back at another time, the exchange machine is not available immediately.

In case customers in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Binh Duong, Hai Phong, Hai Duong want to deliver, the staff will come to open the box and activate it when delivered to the customer. Guests in other provinces leave the device in its original box, not activated.

A representative of Mobile World also said that not only iPhone 13 but other Apple products are required to unbox and activate electronic warranty at the store to ensure the interests of customers.

“During the unboxing process, customers check for aesthetic errors such as camera dust, screen dust, bright spots, screen dead spots, scratches of the product. In case the unboxing machine encounters aesthetic problems, or manufacturer’s fault will be changed to another equivalent product.In case of consecutive opening of 3 machines with aesthetic defects, the system apologizes to the customer, do not continue to open the box to work with the supplier again. If the customer reports an aesthetic error after leaving the store (or after completing the delivery of the machine and the delivery staff leaves), the system only supports transferring the device to the company for appraisal and handling, the 1-for-1 policy does not apply within 30 days as for goods with technical defects”, a representative of Mobile World shared.

Meanwhile, some other systems such as HnamMobile or Mobile Viet all said that currently, this regulation still does not apply to customers buying iPhone 13 or any other Apple product.

iPhone 13 Pro Max is popular with many Vietnamese users.

“The system focuses on the customer’s experience. Therefore, it’s the customer’s right to use the product after the purchase, so we won’t have any requirements like opening it. Maybe customers buy gifts for relatives or other reasons, so that regulation makes customers not satisfied”, said a representative of Viet Mobile system.

Vietnamese users have started to be allowed to pre-order genuine iPhone 13 from October 15. The device will go on sale on October 22. The expected price of genuine iPhone 13 mini will be from VND 22 million and from VND 25 million for iPhone 13. Meanwhile, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are priced from VND 31 million and VND 34 million, respectively.

According to a representative of Mobile World system, after more than 2 weeks of opening the registration program, there are about 40,000 customers interested in iPhone 13.
