The amount of money Youtubers make for the videos they make depends on many factors but views (views) is the most important factor.

Youtubers with a channel of 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours are eligible to earn money by inserting ads into videos through participation in YouTube’s Partner Program. These ads are filtered by Google and the amount of money a YouTuber earns depends on the time the video was viewed, the length, the type of video the audience viewed, and many other factors.

CPM rates (cost per 1000 views) are varied and some famous YouTubers have their own strategies to maximize revenue.

For example, Andrei Jikh – a well-known YouTuber for personal finance – says he makes more money by inserting ads in the middle of the main video – can run in videos longer than 10 minutes. These ads can be skipped or not, and YouTubers can install them manually or automatically installed by Youtube.

One of the YouTube stars, David Dobrik, recently said in an interview that he made $ 2,000 a month directly from Youtube even though his videos averaged 10 million views. He mainly makes money through sponsoring brands.

Here is how much YouTuber earns for videos of 100,000, 1 million or 150 million views.

Video 100,000 views: Earn about 500 – 1,000 USD

Natalie Barbu started her own Youtbe channel when she was in high school 8 years ago. She posted videos of fashion and beauty as a hobby before knowing that doing so could make money.

Currently, she runs the channel with 257,000 subscribers and posts weekly videos about daily life experiences. Barbu has more than 20 videos with over 100,000 views.

On average, a video with 100,000 views can earn Barbu $ 500 – $ 1,000, depending on the number of ads she inserted into the video. For example, she only earned $ 100 from a video with 100,000 views from a few years ago because there was only 1 ad.

In fact, advertisers will pay more for business-related videos than vlogs. The CPM rate also depends on the season, usually low at the beginning of the year and high at the end of the year.

Video 1 million views: Earn 2,000 – 40,000 USD

A 1 million views YouTube video doesn’t always make the same amount of money and can vary depending on who created it.

BI talked to 4 YouTubers who own different channels including Marina Mogilko, Kevin David, Austen Alexander and Shelby Church when they collected the following information:

Church (1.4 million subscribers): Earn 2,000 – 5,000 USD per video.

Alexander (165,000 subscribers): Earn $ 6,000 per video.

Mogilko (1.7 million subscribers): Earn $ 10,000 per video.

David (844,000 subscribers): Earn 40,000 USD per video.

Video 150 million views: Earn 97,000 USD

Paul Kousky is the famous YouTuber for Nerf guns and has 10.9 million registrations.

He said that he made the majority of his income through advertising on the YouTube channel PDK Films.

Kousky’s highest-earning video, titled Nerf War: Tank Battle – went viral around the world six months later.

So far, the video has reached 150 million views (and counting), making him $ 97,000.
