Two Vietnamese startups reach Forbes’ Top ‘Asia 100 to Watch’ in 2022

Forbes magazine has just announced the “Asia 100 to Watch” list in 2022, which lists 100 notable small companies and startups in the Asia-Pacific region. 15 countries and territories have representatives in the Top 100 this year, ranked in 11 categories. Singapore leads with 19 companies, followed by Hong Kong (China) with 16 companies.

To be eligible for consideration, companies must be headquartered in the Asia-Pacific region, privately owned, for-profit operations, with recent annual sales not exceeding $50 million. and total mobilized capital is not more than 100 million USD as of August 1st.

Vietnam has two startups on the list this year, Finhay and Medici Vietnam.

Through its micro-investment and asset management platform, Finhay aims to provide a one-stop-shop for investors in Vietnam. This startup said that users can start investing with capital from 2.2 USD (about 50,000 VND) to improve their financial ability. Finhay currently has about 2.7 million users. The company’s partners include Dragon Capital and Malaysian bank CIMB Group.

Combining medical and insurance services, Medici Vietnam aims to provide high quality healthcare services that are “accessible, available and affordable for all Vietnamese”. The startup says its digital ecosystem includes doctors, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies in more than 63 provinces and cities. The platform currently has over 10,000 electronic health records.

This is the second time Forbes has published the “Asia 100 to Watch” list. Last year, Vietnam had 4 companies on this list including: Hoozing, Logivan, Lozi and Med247.
