This is the result of jumping out of a Tesla car in self-driving mode

AutoPilot is Tesla’s driver assistance function. With 8 cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors surrounding the body, it can detect everything in 360-degree view, with the ability to monitor the environment up to 250 meters.

This feature allows Tesla electric vehicles to automatically assist with steering, acceleration and brake assist in the lane. Of course, according to a statement from the manufacturer, the current automatic driving function still requires the driver to actively monitor and the car has yet to achieve fully automatic driving mode.

Clearly,   This is a scene where many Tesla owners will not have the opportunity to make or have the courage to try. But recently, a YouTuber whose account name is Chikichu has conducted a bold test.

This guy jumped out of a Tesla Model 3 window with AutoPilot turned on. Quite unexpectedly, the car continued to move forward.

In fact, Tesla has introduced restrictions on the use of AutoPilot, such as not removing the seat belt and opening the door while driving. But Chikichu broke the law by tying a seatbelt to his back and jumped out from the window.

There is no doubt that this is dangerous. Because if you don’t carefully follow your lead, you could get hurt or even die. So do not imitate.

And it seems that Tesla needs to add additional restrictions such as seat weight sensor and car camera as soon as possible to ensure safety for its users.
