Apple is expected to launch the Apple Watch Series 7 – its next generation of smartwatches in September this year. Recently, CAD drawings of this product were suddenly leaked online, thereby revealing the design changes that Apple is planning to apply to its upcoming smartwatch.
Looking at the series of renders, it can be seen that the Apple Watch Series 7 will come with flattened edges, instead of rounded edges like the previous generation. In addition, the screen of this smartwatch will also have thinner bezels than the current model, thereby increasing the display area and square design similar to the iPad Pro and iPhone 12 series.
Apple Watch Series 7 still has a Digital Crown button on the right side along with a microphone and physical buttons. However, the speaker grille on the left edge is stretched and runs along the edge of the Apple Watch, instead of being divided into two intervals like the Series 6.
Leaked sources say that the 44mm Apple Watch Series 7 will have 44 x 38 x 9mm dimensions and a 1.8-inch screen, larger than the 1.73-inch screen of the Series 6. In addition, the Series 7 is also made thinner. compared to Series 6 (10.7mm thick). Apple is expected to use a new screen lamination technique for the Series 7 to help bring the screen closer to the protective glass.
Like the previous generation, Apple Watch Series 7 will also have a 40mm version, but specific specifications have not been revealed yet.
At the moment, it’s unclear if Apple plans to add any new fitness tracking features to the Apple Watch Series 7 this year. The CAD drawing shows that the back of this smartwatch will have the same sensors as on the Series 6. Therefore, it seems that Apple will focus on improving the design of the Apple Watch this year, rather than adding it. add new features.
