Data from Google Trends shows that the search volume for the keyword “Corona Virus” is almost zero from the beginning of 2020 until January 22. This number has increased sharply since January 23 (when the first positive case returned from Wuhan) continuously until January 28, down on January 29 and rising again very high on January. 1/31. From then on, searches related to this virus decreased until March 7 (when the positive case was BN17), suddenly increasing again.
Search volume maintained and then peaked in 3 days from April 3-5 and fell back to the usual level on April 6.
In the period of April 14-19, search volume remained stable and steadily decreased from April 20 until now (there are many periods without new cases).

Search volume for “Wuhan” has also started to increase sharply from January 23, but on February 15, there was a downward trend.

The number of searches for the keyword “Government information” soared on January 31 (before the day of the whole social gap) and on April 15 (with the decision to continue the distance until April 22).

Since the arrival of Corona Virus, the incidence of flu symptoms has only been 1%, while nearly 99% of all symptom-related searches were related to Covid-19.

Among the necessities for prevention, “mask” is the most searched keyword in Vietnam, then “dry hand sanitizer” and finally “soap”.
