The world’s oldest 90-year-old gamer becomes a YouTube star: ‘Playing the game is fun, it’s unfair if only kids can play’

A Japanese woman has built a favorite online channel thanks to her top-notch video game skills. She is confirmed to be the oldest YouTube gamer in the world, 90 years old.

Hamako Mori, known as Gamer Grandma (the aunty gamer), with her YouTube channel 250,000 sub, started playing the game 39 years ago. Her YouTube channel was launched in 2015 and she uploads 4 videos a month.

In her videos, she does everything from beating a new control box to showing off her gaming skills.

And now Mori – who loves the Grand Theft Auto series has officially become the oldest YouTube gamer in the world recognized by the Guinness Book of Records.

“After living this age, I feel that gaming is the right choice. I’m really enjoying my life – it’s all pink,” Mori said. Despite being rare in the past, Hamako still maintains an optimistic and youthful spirit. The humor that is instrumental even included in his clips by unique, witty leadership.

“I’m going to play Dauntless today. After starting to play, I’m happy and I can’t stop. I can’t play any other games. Sometimes I play until 2 in the morning.”

Mori has also collected a slew of gaming joysticks over the past several decades. She first owned Cassette Vision – which was launched in Japan on June 30, 1981.

“I find it really interesting to play games and I think it’s unfair if only kids can play.”
