Some extremist tweets existed for more than 10 minutes before being deleted. Currently, all content posted by hackers has disappeared.

“The CEO’s account is now secure and without any indication that Twitter’s system has been compromised,” Twitter released a reassuring message about an hour and a half after the hack.

Twitter then criticized Dorsey’s phone network and claimed that the security system was bypassed by hackers to send tweets with text messages. “The phone number synchronized with the account has been compromised due to careless security in the network provided,” Twitter said.

Cloudhopper, a company once acquired by Twitter to support SMS services is said to be the source of the incident. Specifically, as long as users text “404-04” from the phone number associated with the personal Twitter account, the message will be posted on this social network. These tweets will be cited as “Cloudhopper”.

This is not the first time Dorsey’s account has been hacked. In 2016, our security firm OurMine once hacked a Jack account to send a message that says, “checking your security system”. The tweet also included a video and a link to the OurMine website.

Jack Dorsey, 42, owns a fortune of $ 4.2 billion . According to Forbes, he is the 343 richest person in the world in the list of billionaires in 2019.
