The sudden announcement of President Trump can help Huawei escape?

Huawei is a leading manufacturer of telecommunications and smartphone devices in China, as well as in the world. Huawei’s high-end smartphones have always been appreciated, such as the recent P30 Pro with impressive camera, powerful configuration, high battery capacity and many other attractive features.

Therefore, the fact that the US put Huawei on the black list and banned US companies from cooperating has made Chinese manufacturers difficult. Especially when Google is no longer offered its Android operating system and services to Huawei. This Chinese smartphone company has to develop its own operating system, called Harmony OS.

However, consumers worldwide are too familiar with Android and services like Gmail or Google Maps, so they don’t want to change. As a result, Huawei is committed to using Android as long as possible, and Harmony OS is still a backup plan, or it can be used exclusively for the Chinese market.

However, just recently, President Donald Trump’s Government issued an important announcement, which would help Huawei revive and end the troubles. It is reported that it will postpone the imposition of new tariff barriers on electronic technology goods from China, until December 15.

This is a move to avoid causing chaos at the end of the year and Christmas holidays. President Trump thinks this will benefit US companies. In which Apple benefited a lot, because the upcoming iPhone 11 is coming and sales will promise to be the highest during the year-end shopping.

So why is this good news for Huawei?

On May 20 after putting Huawei on the blacklist, the US Government extended the time for companies to cooperate with Huawei in 90 days. That means that this license will expire on August 19, which means that US companies can no longer provide and cooperate with Huawei.

While the P30 and Huawei’s launched smartphones still receive Android updates, the unreleased smartphones are at risk of not being licensed to use Android. Soon, Huawei will launch Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, premium flagship smartphones.

The US government has taken slight downward actions on the Chinese side until the end of the year-end holiday, so it is entirely possible to be light-hearted in Huawei’s case. Therefore, this is a good sign, indicating that Huawei can continue to cooperate with US companies until at least the end of this year.

It also means that the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro can keep up with the Android. And because these are highly influential flagship smartphones, being able to use Android will be very meaningful for Huawei.

However, there is no certainty. In the worst case scenario, Huawei will have to use its Harmony OS operating system. And maybe this will be a test, to see if the Android operating system is replaced, Huawei will succeed or fail.
