The smartphone company that seemed to have gone bankrupt suddenly comes back with an 10000mAh battery

After years of standing on the edge of the abyss, Gionee is about to return to a completely new smartphone. It is one of the oldest phone brands in China, and the first Chinese manufacturer to enter the smartphone market in India. At the moment, the company seems ready to launch a new smartphone with a huge battery of up to 10,000mAh.

Of course, the 10,000mAh battery is no longer a new thing, at least for the Oukitel K10000 Pro. The second device with a similarly large battery capacity would be a product from Gionee. Currently, there is not much information about this handset, but recently it has been certified by China’s TENAA.

Gionee’s new smartphone may be part of the Marathon line, a product line that optimizes its battery capacity. Earlier, the company introduced the Marathon M5 in 2015 with a 6020mAh battery, while the latest Marathon M2017 has a 7000mAh battery. In the near future, we will probably see “regeneration” of this product line with a capacity of 10,000mAh battery.

According to the TENAA certification document, this smartphone will be powered by an unknown 8-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.0GHz, possibly MediaTek’s Helio chipset. It has many different configuration options, 4GB / 6GB / 8GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB / 256GB ROM. Of course, it will most likely use standard eMMC 5.1 memory, not UFS, and will also expand storage capacity via a microSD card.

Gionee’s mysterious smartphone will use a 5.72-inch LCD screen, supporting 720p HD resolution. The device has a physical size of 160.6 x 75.8 x 8.4mm, weighs 305 grams and this is an easy to understand because it comes with a huge capacity 10,000mAh battery inside.

Unfortunately, TENAA doesn’t mention if this smartphone will support fast charging or not. Hopefully it can charge the battery with a capacity greater than 10W, because with slow charging, users will have to wait for a few hours to fully charge the machine’s battery.

The phone will support 4G connectivity, dual SIM and a single 16MP camera on the back, located just above the fingerprint sensor. In addition, it also has an 8MP camera on the front for selfies and video calling. The device will be sold with two color options, Black and Blue, which can be launched in August.
