According to the latest rumors, Apple may not launch the AirTags device with the iPhone 12 quartet during the “Hi, Speed” event held on October 13. Instead, this micro-navigation device from Apple will be released early next year, possibly spring event 2021.

This information is shared by Jon Prosser, who has made accurate predictions about Apple’s product lines and events in the past.

Previously, leaked sources have indicated that Apple’s “Hi, Speed” event held on October 13 will not only include four new iPhone 12, but also quite a lot of accessories and other products like AirPods Studio, HomePod, AirTags and Macs running Apple’s ARM chipsets. In particular, AirTags is a micro navigation accessory developed by Apple for a long time. Information about this device has also started to appear since the iPhone 11 was introduced last year.

Specifically, AirTags will be the size of a compact bottle cap, but bring in the ability to position with extremely high accuracy thanks to the U1 chip integrated inside Apple. Combined with the U1 chip also equipped on the iPhone, users can use it to position AirTags accurately to every centimeter in a room with an area not too large.

Maybe at the moment, Apple is not ready to launch this AirTags device. According to Jon Prosser, AirTags will be rescheduled for March 2021, Apple’s annual spring event.
