The price of screen replacement on Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 is still high, but at least it is cheaper than before

If you’re interested in Samsung’s new foldable smartphones, good news for you: replacement screens have become cheaper on these devices, but even so, the price tag is still quite high.

Replacing the large inner screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 will cost you $480. External monitors are cheaper, at $150. According to the official price list from Samsung, replacing the same screen on the Z Fold2 will cost $550 and $140 respectively. Quite a lot more expensive than the Z Fold3 for the cost of the screen inside.

For the Galaxy Z Flip3, replacing the inner screen costs $370, the small outer screen is $100. For comparison, for the Z Flip 5G, those costs are $500 and $100 respectively.

Needless to say, the repair cost for the first Fold was even higher ($600/$140), so these screen parts are trending cheaper. However, you may want to consider the Samsung Care+ plan, which pre-orders the first 12 months for free, but with repair costs still high, you may want to renew this protection (total you can be extended up to 3 years).

The service costs $13/month and offers some free repairs and screen replacements down to $250. However, this depends on the region, you can find out more here.
