According to the latest report of analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will likely launch a large screen iPhone (6.7 inches) for less than $ 900, in 2022. If so, the iPhone 14 will have a version with the same screen size as the iPhone 12 Pro Max ($1,099), but with a much cheaper price.
“Mr” Kuo predicts that the non-Pro iPhone line in 2022 will have two versions of 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens (iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max respectively). The 5.7-inch iPhone mini will not be released. Kuo thinks that sales of the iPhone mini line are so low that Apple will eliminate it in 2022.
Maybe many people will regret when the compact iPhone is no longer available, but in fact this strategy did not bring success to Apple. Instead, cheap iPhones are really expensive. A lot of users want an iPhone with a large screen, but at an affordable price.
iPhone 12, 11 and XR all have quite large screen sizes of 6.1 inches. But Apple has always kept larger-screen iPhones at the highest end. So in 2022, Apple could make another breakthrough in sales, with iPhones larger than 6.1 inches, but priced under $ 900.
Besides, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also forecast that Apple will launch a new iPhone SE that supports 5G technology. This will be Apple’s cheapest 5G iPhone, applying the low-cost iPhone strategy that has brought much success in recent times.
