ALI Technologies, the Japanese company that develops flying motorcycles, is now accepting deposits for the first commercial versions. The bike, called XTurismo Limited Edition, uses two central rotors with a 228 hp Kawasaki gas engine to generate thrust. Four smaller electric rotors are placed on the four outer edges of the bike for stability.

ALI Technologies says its prototype can reach a top speed of 50 mph (80 km/h), can hover at an altitude of about 2.4 meters, and can fly for about 40 minutes when loaded full of fuel and fully charged.

The body is made of super light carbon fiber weighing only 660 lbs (299 kg) and about 3.65 m long. The powertrain was co-developed between ALI Technologies and Toda Racing. The vehicle has an automatic control unit designed to improve safety.

Due to the strict regulations for such flying cars in Japan, the XTurismo Limited Edition will only be allowed to be used on the track. This makes the $777,000 price point (equivalent to 17.6 billion VND) less attractive to buyers, but with ALI Technologies only planning to produce 200 units, the XTurismo Limited Edition has been considered a product. rare and luxurious.

However, Japan recently granted Tokyo-based startup SkyDrive a safety certificate for its electric flying car, meaning there’s still a chance we’ll see a similar product soon. like XTurismo on the street.

In fact, ALI Technologies has stated that their goal is to mass produce all-electric flying cars for urban use and even disaster response and search and rescue operations.
