The foldable iPhone is likely to arrive in 2023

There have been quite a few rumors about Apple releasing a foldable iPhone. Today, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also made his own judgment. According to Kuo, the foldable iPhone is likely to be launched in 2023, with a screen size of 7.5-8 inches.

According to Kuo, currently is not the right time for Apple to launch a foldable iPhone. Meanwhile, competitors like Samsung, Huawei or Motorola have all launched their own folding screen smartphones. The current folding screen design has not been agreed, it seems that Apple wants to wait longer to find the most complete design.

According to this analyst, the foldable iPhone will expand to the same size as the iPad mini. As a result, Apple will likely approach this new segment the way Samsung did with the Galaxy Fold. It’s a regular size smartphone that expands horizontally, instead of a vertically folded design like the Motorola Razr.

Apple is also currently testing the first foldable iPhone prototypes. But we will have to wait until 2023, as Apple needs to “find major problems in technology and mass production”.
