The first Tesla Model S Plaid is quietly present in Vietnam: The steering wheel is like a spaceship, stronger than the Bugatti Veyron

A short clip posted by a famous imported car showroom in Hanoi has revealed a special edition Tesla Model S. This is the Model S Plaid with the same power as famous supercars. Previously, the car was offered for sale while in the US and is now quietly present at the showroom.

Recently, luxury electric cars are getting more attention from Vietnamese giants. More and more Teslas are being brought home, but mainly Model 3 and Model X. This is a rare Tesla Model S but also the first Plaid to return to Vietnam.
Tesla Model S Plaid is a high-performance version of the Model S equipped with a system of 3 electric motors with a total capacity of up to 1,020 horsepower. This number is even larger on the Bugatti Veyron. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.99 seconds and has a top speed of 322 km/h. After a full charge, the vehicle’s operating distance is about 560 km.

Despite its power, the exterior of the car is not much different from the regular Model S, except for the reworked nose area below and the changed wheels. The Model S’s entire body looks sportier than before thanks to more aggressive reworked individual details. Wheels are 21-inch double-spoke 5-spoke, painted in black.
Stepping inside, the completely redone interior is spacious and has a minimalist design, using a lot of carbon fiber or wood materials. The car is equipped with a horizontal central control screen up to 17 inches in size, without any traditional control buttons. The steering wheel is designed like a spaceship inspired by the Roadster supercar concept.

In the US, the Tesla Model S Plaid starts at $123,000. It is not clear what the price of a car in Vietnam is. Currently, this model is being supported by 100% of the registration fee from the government.
