The camera under the screen on the Galaxy Z Fold3 “is easier to see, more noticeable than the punch-hole screen”

Samsung’s upcoming folding screen smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 3, is said to have a camera hidden under the screen. Z Fold is a high-end smartphone line, and users hope that the latest generation will mark a leap in under-display camera technology, which has been made by many other manufacturers, but still cannot be called good. However, it seems that the quality of the hidden camera on the Z Fold 3 will not be as users expect.

That is information from 2 reliable leakers of the technology world, Max Weinbach and Ice Universe. Max Weinbach says “Don’t get excited about the Fold 3’s under-display camera”. Ice Unicerse also agrees and says that the camera hidden under the screen on the Z Fold 3 will be ” easier to see, more noticeable than a hole”.
Ice Universe has previously revealed that Samsung has achieved world-leading transparency for this part of the screen above the camera, with 40% of light passing through. However, he also revealed that this could come at the expense of having the screen above the camera visible. He posted the following image to illustrate the problem.

This problem is quite similar to the under-display camera on the ZTE Axon 20 5G (below), showing that while it may be able to take better photos, the hidden camera of the Z Fold 3 won’t really hide as beautifully as expected.

However, it is worth noting that this part is only really visible on a white background and completely invisible on a dark background.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to release in July or August.
