Tesla suddenly increased the selling price of all 4 electric car models

Last weekend, Tesla suddenly increased the price of all 4 electric models Model S, Model Y, Model X and Model 3, without prior notice. Just before that, Tesla announced a record profit of $ 1.6 billion in the third quarter of 2021.

According to Electrek, the Model 3 and Model Y have increased by $2,000, priced from $43,990 and $56,990, respectively. The Model S and Model X have increased by $5,000, priced from $94,990 and $104,990, respectively.

Tesla had a successful Q3 that surpassed expectations, despite a global chip shortage that is plaguing many other automakers. Tesla did not give any explanation for the sudden increase in selling prices over the weekend. Chief Financial Officer Zach Kirkhorn said only that increased demand for electric vehicles was higher than expected and caught Tesla off guard.
