In March 2021, actor Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc once became a victim of deepfake technology. At that time, the social network spread the information that the Vietnamese film actress had leaked “hot” clips on “black” websites. Soon after, Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc corrected the information, confirming that it was not her clip.

In essence, deepfake is developed in the style of machine learning, which means that photos of famous people will be fed into the algorithm system to teach it to recognize faces from different angles.

From there, it will infer and “swap” the face of a celebrity, or even anyone, with the available face of the ‘adult’ actor in the movie. The end result is an adult movie with the faces of famous people, like the last victim is Son Tung M-TP, HIEUTHHUHAI,…

Not only in Vietnam, deepfake problem has caused pain and been condemned for many years in other entertainment markets, especially Korean and Chinese. The widespread Deepfake problem is greatly affecting the honor of the victims. The consequences that such a video image can bring are extremely serious.

Experts agree that this is a serious violation of human rights and can be considered sexual harassment. Legally, these videos are indeed a form of digital sexual violence and should be punished accordingly.
