Sony suddenly sold Xperia 1 Mark II and Xperia 10 Mark II in Vietnam, priced from 10 million VND

Sony Vietnam recently announced that it will sell two smartphones, the Xperia 1 Mark II and the Xperia 10 Mark II in Vietnam. This is a relatively unexpected move, because Vietnam is a market where Sony has “left open” the mobile segment in the past 2 years.

Xperia 1 Mark II

Xperia 1 Mark II is the most advanced model of Sony, unveiled by this company in February this year to upgrade the Xperia 1 model last year.

Xperia 1 Mark II continues to inherit some outstanding features of Xperia 1 such as 6.5 inch OLED screen with 4K resolution with 21: 9 aspect ratio, glass case design, side fingerprint sensor … In addition, it is strongly upgraded in terms of camera with 3 camera system (ultra wide angle, normal angle and telephoto) using ZEISS lens, for ultra-fast focusing and shooting speed of 20fps. Sony also brings to the camera professional photo and video capture interface, similar to the Alpha camera models.

The configuration of the Xperia 1 Mark II is also at the top of the table with the Snapdragon 865 chip, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. The battery capacity of the Xperia 1 Mark II is significantly upgraded compared to the Xperia 1, reaching 4000mAh. In addition, the Xperia 1 Mark II also marks the return of the 3.5mm headphone jack, after it was removed on the first generation.

Sony Vietnam has not announced the official price of the Xperia 1 Mark II, but only said that “is expected to be sold in November 2020 at the nationwide Sony Center system.”

Xperia 10 Mark II

Along with the Xperia 1 Mark II, Sony will sell in Vietnam an additional model in the lower segment, the Xperia 10 Mark II. Unlike the Xperia 1 Mark II, the Xperia 10 Mark II has an official selling price.

The Xperia 10 Mark II is a shortened version of the Xperia 1 Mark II. It has some similarities with the Xperia 1 Mark II such as 21: 9 OLED screen, glass back, IP68 water resistance; However, it is reduced in some features such as smaller screen size (6 inches), lower resolution (FHD +) and plastic bezel.

The Xperia 10 Mark II camera system also has three lenses at three different focal lengths, but the parameters on each sensor and lens are both inferior to the Xperia 1 Mark II. The configuration of the Xperia 1 Mark II is also lower with a Snapdragon 665 chip, 4GB RAM, 128GB internal memory and a 3600mAh battery.

In return, Xperia 10 Mark II has a price of only 9.9 million dong, expected to be significantly cheaper than the selling price of Xperia 1 Mark II. Sony said that from August 31 to September 20, 2020, customers who pre-order the Xperia 10 Mark II at https://sonycenter.sony.com.vn/ will be bundled with the SRS-XB22 wireless mobile speaker. Delivery is expected at the beginning of October 2020.
