Sony launches Alpha 7 IV camera: 33MP Full-frame sensor, multi-directional rotating screen

After rumors for the past few days, Sony has officially announced its latest Full-frame camera, the 4th generation (IV) of the Alpha 7 series.

Sony A7 IV owns a 33-megapixel BSI sensor, with 759 phase-detection focus points covering 94% of the frame. The machine still has the same facial, human and animal focus technology as other products of the company. The IBIS sensor anti-vibration system has also been upgraded, effectively up to 5.5 steps from 5 steps of the A7 III version. Sony says that the new sensor is capable of focusing in low light conditions of -4 EV and taking 828 consecutive shots with the new buffer memory system.

In terms of hardware, the A7 IV has a thicker design (a general trend of camera lines from Sony), a 3.68 million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder with 120fps high frequency, and a tilting multi-directional LCD screen for purpose of shooting, shooting with difficult angles.

The machine also has a new feature that allows compensation for breathing when recording video with its lens. Breathing during movie recording occurs when the user focuses on different points, and the frame shifts that distract the viewer. The A7 IV will be able to “communicate” with supported lenses, adjusting frames during recording to solve this problem.

For streamers and gamers, the A7 IV can tell when the user plugs the camera into the computer to enter the live stream mode. Sony Alpha 7 IV will be sold in December this year for $ 2500 , which is $500 more than the original price of the Alpha 7 III.
