Smartphone of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong unexpectedly grows unprecedented, about to equal Apple in Vietnam

November’s GfK data shows that the market share of Vsmart phones unexpectedly increased to an unprecedented record. Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong’s phone company has reached 6% of the smartphone market share in Vietnam, equivalent to Apple’s market share in the last few months.

Explaining this, a source from ICTnews said that in November, Vinsmart reduced the price of two Live phones by half, causing insufficient supply. Mobile World Chain said it “sold out” two Vsmart models.

Vsmart Live halving contributes greatly to Vsmart’s market share growth.

Launched in August 2019, after 3 months, from VND 6.99 million, the price of the two Vsmart Live versions in Mobile World respectively is only 3.49 million for 4GB RAM and 3 versions, VND 79 million for the 6GB RAM version.

Live sales and some other models of Vinsmart sold well, making the market share of this company from 2-3% in the previous months suddenly doubled to 6%.

Despite the sharp increase in market share, Vinsmart is a bit lacking in luck. In the last few months, with a market share of 6%, the company could rank fourth in Vietnam’s smartphone market. However, 11/201 is quite special when some “under-projection” companies also grow and compete strongly with each other, making the Vsmart brand ranked 6th.

In November, Apple’s market share in Vietnam also increased sharply to 9.6%. This is quite understandable because the newly launched iPhone 11 series of apple brands were officially sold in Vietnam from that time.

From July to October 2019, Apple plummeted. The company has a market share of 6.4%, 6.3%, 5.6%, 6.1% – equivalent to the market share of Vinsmart just achieved this month. With a rise of nearly 10%, Apple regained its No. 3 position, pushing Xiaomi to fourth place.

Vivo also unexpectedly grew to 7.6% – the highest level in the past 12 months, perhaps its best market share ever. With this result, Vivo ranked 5th smartphone companies in Vietnam in November.

The market share of Samsung and Oppo slightly decreased but still in turn kept the two highest positions in the Vietnamese smartphone market.
