Today (March 3), Xiaomi has officially launched Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro – two of its latest gaming smartphone models in China. At the same time, these are also the first products developed based on a collaboration between Black Shark and Tencent Games, helping optimize the software to bring the best gaming experience to users.
Like the previous generation, Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro still have the familiar "X" back, with sharp curves and look quite "underground". The biggest change on this lineup is the redesigned rear camera module, which is symmetrical with the "triangle" in the lower half.
Both devices have three cameras on the back, replacing the telephoto sensor into an ultra-wide angle sensor, and adding a dedicated depth sensor for portrait photography. In addition, they also have a 3.5mm headphone jack, connectors on the back to attach additional accessories.

The biggest difference when it comes to design between the two models is that the Black Shark 3 Pro has two physical buttons with tactile feedback on the right edge, while the standard variant does not.
Black Shark 3 is equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and a 20: 9 aspect ratio. The monitor has a 90Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling rate, supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 500 nits brightness.
Meanwhile, the Pro version has an AMOLED screen with a larger 7.1 inch size, supports Quad HD + resolution (3120 x 1440 pixels) and 19.5: 9 aspect ratio.
Inside, both models are powered by Qualcomm's most advanced Snapdragon 865 processor, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of internal memory (UFS 3.0 standard). In addition, they also support 5G and Wi-Fi 6, with special modes that help combine these two connections to increase bandwidth.
Moving to the back, Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro are equipped with a "triangular" camera module with identical specifications. This camera cluster includes the main sensor 64MP f / 1.8, ultra-wide angle sensor 13MP f / 2.25 with 120-degree viewing angle and depth sensor 5MP f / 2.0. Meanwhile, the selfie camera on the front of the two devices has a 20MP resolution, f / 2.2 aperture.
Black Shark 3 comes with a 4720mAh battery, while the Pro version has a larger 5000mAh battery. Both phones support 65W fast charging technology, and take 38 minutes to fully charge from 0% to 100%.

As mentioned above, Black Shark 3 Pro has two physical buttons with tactile feedback on the right edge. According to the manufacturer's announcement, each button has a length of 21mm and 1.5mm key travel, with a durability of over 1 million clicks. Unfortunately, this feature was omitted on the standard version of Black Shark 3.
The Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro are equipped with a liquid cooling system that the manufacturer calls a "Sandwich Cooling System". At the launch event, Black Shark said that it used a dual battery design with a 116mm long motherboard in the middle, in addition to high temperature components when used such as CPU and 5G modem. together.
In addition, Black Shark 3 also has two heat sinks located on the front and back of the motherboard, and an additional layer of graphite to increase heat dissipation performance, allowing users to comfortably play games. continuously for a long time.
Price and release time
As expected, Black Shark 3 will be sold in China from March 6 with a starting price of 3499 yuan (about 11.7 million) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB memory. Meanwhile, the 12GB RAM + 128GB memory version is priced at 3799 yuan (about 12.7 million dong) and the 12GB RAM + 256GB memory version is priced at 3999 yuan (about 13.3 million dong).
For Black Shark 3 Pro, this phone will be available later on March 17, with a starting price of 4699 yuan (about 15.7 million) for 8GB RAM + 256GB of memory. The more advanced version with 12GB RAM + 256GB internal memory costs 4999 yuan (about 16.7 million dong).
