Internet optical cable connecting Vietnam and the world is 80% operational.

“Thus, the flow of Internet connection between Vietnam and internationally has returned to 80%,” the source said.

By the end of 2019, all three international optical cable lines that Vietnamese operators are using, AAG, IA and AAE-1, simultaneously had problems. This has greatly affected Vietnamese people’s Internet access to international sites.

This low Internet speed condition has been recorded in many networks such as Viettel, FPT and VNPT. However, access to overseas web servers such as Facebook is affected. Domestic websites are still functioning normally.

According to Zing.vn ‘s resources, the remaining IA cable will be repaired in the next 1-2 days, restoring 100% of Internet connection ability between Vietnam and the world.
