Just recently, Intel launched its 11th generation Tiger Lake processor line. In addition, Intel also announced the title for the latest laptops, which is the Intel Evo, following last year’s Project Athena.

Also today, Samsung released the first laptop to meet the Intel Evo title standards, while also supporting 5G mobile technology. It was the Galaxy Book Flex 5G laptop.

Galaxy Book Flex 5G is Samsung’s first 5G laptop, it has a slim, light design and very refined. The laptop weighs only 1.26 kg, has a very premium “royal silver” color shell. The screen of the Flex 5G is 13 inches in size, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Flex 5G is equipped with Core i5 or Core i7 processors from Intel’s 11th generation Tiger Lake series. Intel’s Vice President Chris Walker said these next-generation chips will bring incredible power and battery savings to thin and light laptops like the Flex 5G.

In addition, Galaxy Book Flex 5G is also equipped with 16GB RAM, up to 512GB SSD, 69.7Wh battery. This laptop has a 13MP rear camera, to be able to take pictures or video of the outside world. It also comes with an S-Pen stylus and a backlit key sale.

Intel Evo title includes stricter requirements than Project Athena. First, Intel Evo laptops will have to be powered by Intel’s 11th generation Tiger Lake processors. Next, the laptops must pass the “real-time” battery test for 9 hours or more.

These laptops will also have the ability to wake up from sleep in less than a second. Must have support for fast charging, guarantee 4 hours of use after 30 minutes of charging. Must support Wi-Fi 6 and the latest Thunderbolt 4 connectivity standard.

Vice President Chris Walker said Samsung and Intel have worked together to launch a Galaxy Book Flex 5G laptop that can work best in the real world. Intel has spent thousands of hours asking users what they need most in a laptop for work and school.

Their top priority is warm-up time and rapid response, to help them focus on work and study. The second priority is good battery life and connectivity. 5G support will also help Intel continue to compete with AMD and other ARM mobile processors.

Currently, Samsung has not announced the price and release date of the Galaxy Book Flex 5G laptop.
