Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra revealed with a constant design, 144Hz screen, 5,000 mAh battery

The next high-end flagship smartphone that Samsung is preparing to launch is the Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra. Samsung usually launches new Galaxy S smartphones in March every year, but the Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra are likely to be released earlier in January 2021. Some leaks of the highest-end Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone have been be revealed.

According to 91mobiles, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch display, with a higher 144Hz refresh rate than the previous generation. 40MP selfie camera, 108MP rear camera and up to 5,000 mAh battery capacity.

In terms of design, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will still have an Infinity-O display, with the selfie camera hole in the middle. The design is similar to previous Galaxy S generations, so it may disappoint those expecting an innovative design. Meanwhile, the rear camera cluster of the Galaxy S21 Ultra will be rectangular, with a very large size and occupy an entire upper left corner.

An interesting detail is that the Galaxy S21 Ultra has a 6.8-inch screen, 0.1 inch smaller than the Galaxy S20 Ultra. While this difference is not too much, it seems Samsung thinks the screen size of the Galaxy S20 Ultra is too large.

The refresh rate of the Galaxy S21 Ultra display will be increased to 144Hz, from 120Hz on the Galaxy S20 Ultra. This improvement promises to make gaming on the Galaxy S21 Ultra even smoother. However, the high frequency screen on the previous Galaxy S20 Ultra still has some disadvantages, such as low resolution and battery consumption. Hopefully Samsung will improve these shortcomings on the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Samsung is likely to launch three Galaxy S21s, with a standard version, a Galaxy S21 Plus version with a larger screen and the most premium version, the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The official launch date will be around January 2021.
