Samsung Exynos 2100 will definitely outperform Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 875

Samsung recently released its first 5nm processor, but Exynos 1080 is just mid-range chip, equipped for Galaxy A smartphones. Even so, Exynos 1080 still shows impressive performance, While the leaked benchmark score is higher than the flagship Snapdragon 865.

The question of more interest at the moment is whether Samsung’s upcoming high-end Exynos 2100 processor will outperform the Snapdragon 875. Note that both of these high-end processors will be manufactured using the 5nm process.

According to the latest disclosure by Ice Universe, this tipster is quite confident that the Exynos 2100 sure will have superior performance than the Snapdragon 875. And as every year, the Galaxy S21 versions in the US market and China will be equipped with Snapdragon 875 chip, while in other markets around the world including Europe and Asia will be equipped with Exynos 2100 chip.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors have always been rated higher than Samsung’s Exynos line of chips. Perhaps that is why Samsung has decided to use ARM’s design, instead of its custom CPU. Thanks to that, Exynos 2100 will have a remarkable step forward.

It is almost certain that the Exynos 2100 CPU will outperform the Snapdragon 875, and users in Europe can finally laugh.

The Exynos 2100 and Snapdragon 875 will almost certainly have the same CPU core. So even if Samsung’s chips are not superior to those of Qualcomm, the differences are not nearly as obvious as they were years ago.

Specifically, both processors will use the same top-performance Cortex-X1, three high-performance Cortex-A78 cores and four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores.

Exynos 2100 will probably use Mali-G78 GPU, while Snapdragon 875 will use Adreno 660 GPU. Graphics processing performance of Adreno 660 GPU is appreciated slightly higher than Mali-G78 GPU.
