One of the new features of AirTag that is not currently found on a similar accessory is “anti-stalking”, also known as anti-tracking feature. With this feature, AirTag will emit a notification sound after a certain period of time if the user is carrying an AirTag that is not theirs. This is to prevent bad guys from exploiting AirTag’s search feature to track someone’s location. Apple does not specify how long “a certain period” is, but according to sources from MacRumors, this period is 3 days and may be changed by Apple in the future.
