Samsung cooperates with Google to strengthen digital transformation in education at some schools in Vietnam

As a pioneer public school participating in the pilot program, teachers and students at Experimental Secondary School will have the opportunity to experience Google’s educational technology (EdTech) tools on the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook. Teaching and learning on Chromebooks will be enhanced with the Chrome Education version and support for Google Workspace for Education tools like Google Classroom and Google Meet. The project demonstrates Samsung’s strong commitment to contributing to the digital transformation of education in Vietnam by providing advanced teaching and learning equipment. This is also a project following the success of the launch ceremony of the Google for Education pilot program at Vinschool Golden River earlier this year.

Professor Le Anh Vinh, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (VNIES) commented that: “Following its long tradition of experimentation, Experimental School has become one of the pioneer schools in digitalisation. Educating the education sector through the Google for Education pilot program. The participation of the Experimental School in this program is an essential foundation that contributes to its long-term mission to transform the education system in Vietnam. .”

The Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (VNIES) – the direct supervisor of the Experimental School – will actively participate in project management. The team will evaluate teachers and students’ experiences with Chromebooks and Google tools, with the broader aim of setting high standards for future pilot research methodology. Another partner in the first pilot program – AI Education – will provide training to teachers at the Experimental School on how to use Google’s toolkit to enhance student learning outcomes.

To Hong Nam, deputy director of the Information Technology Department of the Ministry of Education and Training, welcomed the cooperation between Google and Samsung, creating a foundation for long-term development.
