Revealing the pattern of the entire iPhone 12 line, the same flat edges as the new iPad Pro

Tram Ho

Over the weekend, rumors about the new iPhone 12 design were further strengthened when a series of new images leaked about the device’s mold and CAD renderings appeared on Twitter account @Jin_Store. The new images show all four new iPhone 12 versions, including a 5.4-inch screen version, two 6.1-inch versions and a 6.7-inch version.

These CAD drawings and patterns are often used by case manufacturers to produce accessories ready for the launch of new iPhones. That is why some details on these templates may not be completely accurate. For example, the size of the notch will not affect the case design, so accessory makers often don’t pay attention to how the notch size might change in their designs.

These sets of models also do not seem to include the addition of a LiDAR sensor on the back. It seems that this is also because Apple will probably keep the size of its camera and lens clusters. Therefore, the addition of LiDAR sensor will not affect the case production.

The most remarkable thing in these templates is the flat edges of the new iPhones. They are similar to the designs of the previous iPhone 4 and 5, as well as the recently launched iPad Pro line. This design change has been rumored for a long time, and a series of recent leaks reinforce these claims.

The new images show Apple is repeating the design language of the new iPad Pro across its entire lineup this year. Not just for new iPhones, a recent rumor suggests that even the newly redesigned iMac uses this design language, with flat edges and thin bezels. Most likely this new iMac line will be introduced at the upcoming WWDC conference.
