Revealing Google’s new low-cost smartphone

Google launched the Pixel 5 in October last year, alongside the Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G duo – considered the low-cost version of its predecessor Pixel 4. This year, the search giant will also launch. a more affordable variant of the Pixel 5, dubbed the Pixel 5a (but no 5G version).

Recently, famous leak expert Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) has suddenly shared a series of renderings of Pixel 5a, thereby giving us a more detailed look at the design of this phone right before the launch date. .

The Pixel 5a is said to have a flat screen with a “mole” in the upper left corner to house the selfie camera. On the back, it owns a square camera cluster with two sensors and an LED flash. In addition, we also have a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device.

Google will keep the 3.5mm headphone jack on the Pixel 5a and place it on the top edge. The bottom edge of the device is where the USB-C connector is located, while the right edge has the power key painted white and the volume up and down keys.

The Pixel 5a is said to have a 6.2-inch OLED display with FHD + resolution just like the Pixel 4a 5G. The back of the machine is made of plastic, which is not too surprising when this is Google’s cheapest smartphone this year.

Pixel 5 has a physical size of 156.2 x 73.2 x 8.8mm (9.4mm at the camera cluster position). The other specifications of this handset are still unknown, but we can expect a larger battery capacity, more powerful processor and improved camera compared to its predecessor Pixel. 4a was released last year.
