Responding to the expectations of users, File Explorer has a new design in the style of Fluent Design
- Tram Ho
Windows users have long requested a new design for File Explorer for many years. But so far, Microsoft doesn’t seem ready to overhaul the file manager with new features and an attractive user interface.
However, Microsoft is gradually changing after launching dark mode for Windows 10. It is expected that in the latest version of Windows 10 released this fall, Microsoft will redesign File Explorer based on Fluent Design language. .
Through a tweet shared by the Aggiornamenti Lumia account, the tech world had an early look at File Explorer’s new icon. Overall, this design is quite similar to the new icon of Office office toolkit on Windows 10.
Currently this icon is not available to all users and it is not until the second update in 2019 that we have the opportunity to see it.
As for improvements in File Explorer, Microsoft is still quite tight-lipped. Microsoft originally planned to add a feature called Sets in File Explorer, which could help users group folders into tabs in a common interface. However, for some reason, Microsoft has unexpectedly halted the release of the feature and has never scheduled an official introduction.
Overall File Explorer has not had many drastic changes during this time. But techies can fully expect impressive improvements in the spring 2020 update.
