The appearance of the new Red Magic series still has Nubia’s own design characteristics, the difference probably comes from the design of the camera lenses on the back between the standard and Pro versions. While the standard version has almost the same design as its predecessor, the Pro version has a new square camera design. The backs of both are finished from glass, with the option of a transparent back with an RGB fan pattern.

Nubia equips its Red Magic 7 series with an advanced cooling system called ICE 8.0, which is designed with a 9-layer cooling structure, consisting of mixed heat dissipation materials, thermal conductive gel, VC vapor chamber and graphite sheets. In addition, this cooling system also includes a cooling fan that rotates at 20,000 rpm, but Nubia has added a new air duct connected at the 2nd air intake to improve heat dissipation. . This results in a 35% increase in air flow compared to predecessors, allowing CPU temperatures to be reduced by 3 degrees Celsius, where most of the heat is dissipated thanks to the added metal air duct.

If users are still not satisfied with the temperature of the device, ZTE also sells a Turbo Cooler fan accessory placed on the back, which has a 17% increase in heat dissipation efficiency while still ensuring not too noisy. Of course, this accessory also comes with an RGB LED system.

To provide the power of the system, Nubia equips the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor for the Red Magic 7 series. And indeed, the performance of the models equipped with this chip depends entirely on the cooling system of the device. machine, the more efficient, the stronger the performance and the longer it is maintained.

On the front, both Red Magic 7 and Red Magic 7 Pro are equipped with 6.8-inch screens using AMOLED panels, resolution at Full HD +. The standard version is equipped with a 165Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling frequency, but the Pro version has a slightly lower 120Hz refresh rate, but the touch sampling frequency is as high as 960Hz.

The screens of both are flawless screens. While the standard version places the selfie camera on the top bezel, the Pro version has a selfie camera hidden under the screen. This is also the first gaming phone equipped with camera technology hidden under the screen.

As a gaming phone, the Red Magic 7 series also comes with a physical trigger key cluster with improved sensitivity to 500Hz, which means the latency is only 7.4ms. It is the Red Core 1 chip that controls this trigger cluster as well as the vibration motors of the machine.

Nubia equips the Red Magic 7 and 7 Pro with 4500mAh and 5000mAh capacity batteries, respectively, supporting 120W and 135W fast charging technology respectively. The device comes with the first 165W GaN fast charger developed by ZTE for smartphones.

Regarding the selling price, Red Magic 7 and 7 Pro will be on sale in the Chinese market from February 21, with starting prices of 3999 yuan and 4699 yuan respectively, equivalent to 14.3 million and 16.9 million dong. The Turbo Cooler fan accessory is sold separately for 200 yuan.
