Realme announces the “killer” of 5G flagship smartphones

Realme is a brand new in the smartphone industry, but is well known for its affordable flagship killer phones. Today, Realme continues to announce the “killer” of 5G flagship smartphone, and also the successor of Realme X2 Pro.

Announcing on Weibo, Realme marketing director Xu Qi Chase also revealed a photo showing the new design of the smartphone. The Realme X50 5G will be a 5G smartphone, with a dual-hole selfie camera design similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S10 +.

About naming is a leap from Realme X2 to Realme X50. Mr. Xu Qi Chase explained that the number 5 stands for 5G, while the number 0 is added to mark a new beginning from the coming 2020.

Realme X50 5G will be its first 5G smartphone, operating on both independent and non-independent 5G networks. Pre-installed ColorOS 7 operating system based on Android 10.

This is also considered a response of Realme, after Xiaomi announced it will launch a series of 5G smartphones with competitive prices in the near future. The Realme X50 5G is expected to be a direct competitor to the Redmi K30.

Realme has yet to reveal other specifications of this 5G smartphone, but it is expected to have high-end configuration and competitive price. Therefore, Realme X50 5G may be the “destroyer” of 5G flagship smartphones in the future.
