OPPO is about to launch a flagship with Snapdragon 870 chip

Qualcomm is expected to launch the Snapdragon 875 – its next high-end processor on December 1. This is considered an upgraded version of Snapdragon 865, the chipset found on most of the flagship models running the Android operating system this year.

According to a report from China, Qualcomm will also launch a custom version of the SD875, dubbed Snapdragon 870 and used on OPPO’s next flagship line. This will be a shortened version of SD875, in which the most powerful core is clocked up to 3.2GHz. It is theoretically less powerful than the SD875, but still more powerful than the Snapdragon 865.

Currently, it is not clear when Qualcomm or OPPO will reveal more information about the Snapdragon 870. In addition, the name of the next flagship model equipped with this chip is still unknown.

A few days ago, information on a new OPPO smartphone model, with model number PERM00 was found in the database of China’s TENAA certification body. The device has a 6.5 inch FHD + screen and physical dimensions of 162.2 x 75.1 x 9.1mm.

It comes with 4900mAh capacity battery, weighs 194 grams and comes in 3 color options: Green, Gray and Blue. The OPPO PERM00 will have 6GB / 8GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB / 256GB internal storage, as well as a fingerprint on the side. In terms of camera, this mysterious phone has a 16MP selfie camera on the front, 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP on the back.
